ERASMUS+ Youth Exchange,Camp Kolpa in Metlika, Slovenia,11-19. 8. 2014, 8 participants
Youth Exchange will be organised by volunteers from Culture and Art Association KUD Plac from Metlika. This is already the fourth Youth Exchange that is based on nature and its products. The participants will be included in different workshops, team work, open debates and presentation of new competences.
The project will be held in Camp Metlika nearby River Kolpa which is one of the cleanest rivers in Slovenia and you can swim in it whole summer season. The historical town of Metlika that is 1km away from the camp is situtated in Bela krajina in South East of Slovenia. During the project there will be organized visit to Bela krajina's Landscape Park Lahinja (environmentaly protected area near Lahinja river).
The main product of the exchange will be herbarium made from local herbs and plants, and by doing it participants will also learn how to cook and prepare meals from local edible plants. They will be also tought the procedure of making a souvenir from nature. To increase the spirit there will morning yoga, shamanic drums and everyday enjoyment of the bauties of nature next to the river.
