The course will last for 7 days, and it will involve 30 youth workers, three for each partner organisation, coming both from EU and South Eastern Europe, as we believe that this topic is extremely relevant for both regions and it includes a lot of interactions between them. The countries are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Lithuania, Montenegro, FYROM, United Kingdom, Croatia, Slovenia and of course, Romania. The D.G.T. Association will host the training course in Suceava District, Dorna Candrenilor, Romania, between 14 and 22 September 2013.
During the course, we will deal with topics such as the concept of minority itself, the institutions dealing with them and their policies and programmes, and the work of youth organisations in the field. We will talk about different kinds of minorities, and we'll provide useful tools for the participants and their youth NGOs to provide opportunities for participation for youngsters coming from these different backgrounds, and spaces of interaction between minorities and majorities.
